Anil Gulati

Founder & Director, Chairman & CEO

Dr. Gulati is leading clinical development and the commercialization of first-in-class drug products in critical care medicine. He led the discovery, development and launch of Lyfaquin for hypovolemic shock and Tyvalzi for cerebral stroke. He has 54 issued patents. He is Professor Emeritus at Midwestern University and is recipient of Paul R Dawson Biotechnology Award 2014 and Littlejohn Award 2014. Dr. Gulati is a United States Fulbright Scholar 2008-2009 and winner of International Ranbaxy Research Award 2007. Dr. Gulati was the Scientific Reviewer, United States Defense Medical Research and Development Program, Combat Casualty Care Research Program 2016 and 2017.

James Ford McDonnell

Director

Dr. McDonnell received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and his MD in 1985 from Northwestern University Medical School. Dr. McDonnell has also received postgraduate training in Emergency and Internal Medicine at Northwestern University. He has made significant contributions to the growth of Pharmazz. He is currently Vice Chair, Professor, Department of Ophthalmology at Loyola University and Director of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at Loyola University Medical Center and Director, Retinopathy of Prematurity of Neonatal Intensive Care. Dr. McDonnell is the Past President of the Chicago Ophthalmological Society, and currently serves on the board of directors of the Illinois Association of Eye Physicians and Surgeons (ISEPS)

Dr. Neil Marwah is a seasoned, entrepreneurial healthcare executive with more than 30 years of experience. His experience includes private practice, ancillary healthcare services, large provider organizations, government relations, healthcare public policy advocacy, managed care, private equity, and senior management at Global 500 enterprise. As a board-certified nephrologist, Dr. Neil Marwah has strong clinical credentials. He served on the Medical Advisory Board of Banner Health, Arizona’s largest health system; and Fresenius Medical Care, a publicly traded firm with 120,000 employees.

Ashish K. Khanna

Consultant

Dr. Ashish K Khanna, MD, FCCP, FCCM, FASA is an associate professor of anesthesiology, vice-chair for research and heads center of excellence for clinical trials at the Wake Forest School of Medicine. He was part of the Angiotensin II in High Output Shock trial that translated to its US FDA approval. Dr. Khanna is vice-chair for the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Committee on Critical Care Medicine. He is chair-elect for the Research Section of Society of Critical Care Medicine and Co-Chair for the 2023 Congress. He is a member of the board of directorsof the Society of Critical Care Anesthesiologists. Dr. Khanna has more than 100 peer-reviewed papers.

Jane Kiernan
Jane Kiernan

Director

Ms. Kiernan serves on the board of directors of two public companies and is a Co-founder of K2 Biotechnology Ventures, engaged in developing and commercializing portfolios of university and medical center innovations. In addition, Ms. Kiernan has the financial expertise to assist private and public mid and large-cap healthcare companies. Ms. Kiernan has served as CEO and President and a non-voting Board Director of Salter Labs, a private equity portfolio company. Ms. Kiernan also held global general management positions with Baxter Healthcare Corporation. Ms. Kiernan earned a degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University.

Sunil Gulati

Dr. Gulati has more than 38 years of experience and knowledge in starting and running medium sized organizations. He is the founding member of Pharmazz India Private Limited and is managing and operating the company since its inception. He was instrumental in initiating and developing a team to conduct all the clinical trials in-house and is extensively involved in selection of sites, the budgetary aspects and legal contracts. Dr. Gulati has provided his expertise to be in full compliance with all related regulatory affairs pertaining to drug development, customs, licensing, FEMA and others. Dr. Gulati has an exceptional ability to create healthy environment for employees.

Formerly, Union Health Secretary, Government of India. Mr. Verma is a very senior administrator with deep experience in the health sector. He was instrumental in formulating and implementing many policies related to the drug development process in India. He also has remarkable interest in literary work.

Manish S. Lavhale

Dr. Lavhale has more than twenty years of experience in pre-clinical and clinical development of novel drugs. He did his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and worked for 4 years as a Post-doctoral Fellow at Midwestern University, USA. At Pharmazz he has played a key role in filing several Investigational New Drug Applications in the USA and India. Dr. Lavhale has broad experience in discovery and development of novel first-in-class drug products in critical care medicine. He is an inventor in several issued patents and has more than 40 publications. He received financial grants from UGC, India and was awarded a grant by the NIH, USA.

Dr. Ravi Kant MBBS, MS, DNB, FRCS, FACS is the Ex-Director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh, and Ex-Vice Chancellor of King George’s Medical University, Lucknow. The President of India has awarded him Padma Shri. He also won numerous awards, including the Dr. B C Roy Award and Yash Bharti Award. He has been a WHO fellow and Visiting Surgeon at Mayo Clinic, USA; University of London, UK; National Cancer Institute, Tokyo, Japan. Professor Ravi Kant was the Past President of the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology and has been a board member of many Government Organizations.

Shridhar Andurkar

Dr. Andurkar is professor and Chair of Pharmaceutical science at the Midwestern University Chicago college of Pharmacy. He has pursued a program of research involving the design, synthesis, biology evaluation and metabolism of bioactive molecules for the past 17 years. He has been awarded various Distinctions & Honors like Golden Apple Award Teacher of the year, Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy, for many years.
